Art Thinking launches Future Innovators Summit.
Colourworks announces major Partnership in Newcastle's first Future Innovators Summit.
The search is on for young people of all backgrounds, future influencers and young art thinkers across the Hunter.
For the first time, Art Thinking Australia and partners are the Australian hosts of an international and future-thinking 4 day event; the Future Innovators Summit (FIS) for local innovators aged 4-19years.
Under 19s who are interested in Art, Music, Science, Leadership and care about the future, are encouraged to apply and be a part of this outdoor round-table discussion.
Key future issues for discussion include Future Learning, Future of City, Future Work. There will also be artists, scientists and innovation leaders from the local industry invited as mentors.
The presented ideas, questions and solutions from the FIS will become mission
statements and then actions, collated and passed over to local decision-makers making local youth a part of a community of changemakers for a better Newcastle.

Art Thinking Australia is a Newcastle based studio proud to be bringing an international perspective to events with a strong local focus. Future Innovators Summit presents a unique opportunity to hear firsthand from young local people.
Art Thinking Co Founder & Director of Research, Maria José Sanchez, is excited to bring this event format to Newcastle, and wants people to approach it with a relaxed curiosity.
FIS represents for me that unique space where magic becomes possible thanks to the "art thinking mindset”. It invites us for true collaboration and creates the opportunity for reflection. An approach led by our partners Ars Electronica - the pioneering organisation at the nexus of Art, Technology and Society since 1979.
The FIS Newcastle is an extended program of the global event Ars Electronica 2022 - Welcome to PLANET B.
FIS Newcastle will be focusing on the following topics :
- FUTURE LEARNING
- FUTURE CITY
- FUTURE WORK
Applications are currently open and will close on September 12, 2022
