Real Impact, Real Progress. How Canon Is Making a Difference
Every year, Earth Day is a great reminder to reflect on how we treat our planet—and how we can do better. As a Canon Partner, we’re lucky to work with a brand that doesn’t just talk about sustainability—it puts real action behind those words.
Canon Oceania’s approach to the environment is inspiring. According to their 2024 Sustainability Report, they’ve set bold targets to cut greenhouse gas emissions, aiming for a 42% drop in direct emissions (Scope 1 and 2) and a 25% reduction in supply chain emissions (Scope 3, Categories 1 and 11) by 2030. Even more impressive, Canon New Zealand has already cut emissions by 51% since 2018 and uses 100% renewable electricity across all locations.

But it’s not just about emissions. Canon is also tackling waste head-on. More than 2.7 million cartridges were recycled in 2023 alone through TechCollect and Cartridges for Planet Ark, with zero waste-to-landfill guarantees. Plus, Canon’s investment in technologies like TonerPlas® and RESIN8™ turns waste plastics and toner powder into sustainable materials used in roads and buildings.
Being a Canon Partner means aligning with these values. We’re not just offering amazing imaging products; we’re part of something bigger—supporting real change and a vision for a more sustainable, circular future.
So, this Earth Day, we’re celebrating progress and proudly supporting Canon in its commitment to the planet.
It’s a reminder that meaningful change often starts with the partnerships we choose.
